Pakatan Rakyat's leadership council has condemned the violence during campaigning and urged the police to act quickly to nab the perpetrators, said PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
"Pakatan views this matter seriously and condemns any effort to create chaos and disturbance," he said at a press conference here Monday.
Quick action by the police, he added, would also clear the air over claims that Pakatan supporters were behind the trouble.
"We believe the police will act professionally in handling this situation.
"The council has also instructed all our supporters to remain calm and to act maturely and not to be swayed by provocation," he added.
