Witness Zaid Marsum, 17, said during the accident, his three friends, Faridzuan, Amirul and another identified as Hakim, who were riding two Honda LC and a Lagenda motorbike, stopped by the roadside to fix their motorcycle chain when two of his friends were rammed by a Honda driven by a man from behind.

The Honda then careened and fell into a nearby drain.

"I saw an Indian man trying to help the victims but another man on a motorcycle hit the samaritan when he was trying to avoid hitting Hakim who jumped onto the road to avoid being hit by the Honda," he told reporters outside the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (HTAR) mortuary, here, this morning.

Zaid, who was about 200 metres away from the accident scene said, he and his three friends were on their way home after having drinks at Section 14, nearby.

The motorcyclist who hit the samaritan and the Honda driver also died in the crash.

Family members of the crash victims were seen arriving at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah hospital at 8.30am before being escorted inside the mortuary to identify victims.
