28 students in Kedah warded for inhaling gas

Another 28 students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Pantai in Kuala Kedah here were warded at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital II after they were believed to have inhaled Acrolein gas.
The students, including three boys, were rushed to the hospital after they complained of headache and nausea while attending the school assembly at 9am.

The incident is the second at the school after 58 people, who included 56 students, suffered similar symptoms last Tuesday. The victims have since been discharged.
At press time, the latest victims, in Forms Three and Four, are responding well to treatment.
