Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said today that State Secretary Datuk Mohamad Khusrin Munawi will take the oath of secrecy in due course.
He said there should be no concern about this because Mohamed Khusrin was already helping to implement policies.
"The oath of secrecy will be conducted accordingly and certain quarters should not be unduly worried. Mohamad Khusrin is already in our team and given the task to implement state policies from time to time," he told reporters after opening a development course for the youths near here.
The Mentri Besar had disputed the appointment of Mohamad Khusrin as the state secretary effective Jan 1 by the Public Service Commission, saying he had not been consulted.
The Selangor government then convened a special session of the state assembly to amend the state constitution but failed to get the necessary two-thirds majority.
The proposed amendment was to return the powers of the Sultan and the Mentri Besar in the appointment of the state secretary, state financial officer and state legal advisor.
Abdul Khalid said the state government would reformat its weekly executive council meeting before the oath taking.
He had said that he did not want the state secretary to attend meetings on political matters.
He also said he would write to the Home Minister to re-consider the state government's proposal to form its own auxiliary police team.
According to a survey conducted by the state, Abdul Khalid said, many housewives did not feel safe in crime-prone areas auxiliary police to help prevent crime.
