Khaled is Johor MB, Khalid helms Selangor

Permas assemblyman Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin was sworn-in as Johor's 15th Menteri Besar, together with nine state executive members, in front of the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar at the Sultan Ibrahim Building in Bukit Timbalan.

Two Menteris Besar were sworn in this morning.

In JOHOR BARU, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin was sworn in as the Johor Menteri Besar before the Sultan of Johor at Sultan Ibrahim building.

The new exco line-up will see all new faces, except for Mahkota assemblyman Md Jais Sarday and Johor Lama assemblywoman Asiah Md Ariff.

Among the new faces were: Datuk Tee Siew Kiong (Pulai Sebatang), Datuk Hasni Mohammad (Benut), R Vidyanathan (Kahang), Abd Mutalib Abd Rahim (Layang-Layang), Datuk Abd Latiff Bandi (Endau), Ismail Mohamed (Bukit Serampang) and Datuk Zulkurnain Kamisan (Sri Medan).

Tee and Vidyanathan will both represent the Chinese community under MCA and the Indian community under MIC, being part of the Barisan Nasional state government.

Sultan Ibrahim, in his speech, reminded the exco members that he will not tolerate those who attempted to create disharmony or spread hatred, to divide the people of Johor.

The ruler also said those who are unable to carry out their duties entrusted to them before the swearing-in ceremony, should leave the hall, immediately.

Sultan Ibrahim then paused for a few minutes, and looked at each of the members, before continuing with his speech.

He also asked the new line-up, to always put his subjects and matters related to the state, above themselves.

In KLANG, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim was appointed the Selangor Menteri besar for the second term.

He received a letter of appointment from Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah around 10.10am.

Khalid then took an oath of office and a pledge of undertaking before signing the letter of appointment.
