Actor, comedian S. Shamsuddin (right), 84, died at his home in Singapore on Tuesday. He died at 10:56am in his home at Block 101 Bukit Batok West Avenue 6, # 07-34, Jurong, Singapore.
Popular 50s and 60s comedy actor S Shamsuddin had died in his home at Bukit Batok in Jurong here this morning.
The 84-year-old, who acted alongside Malay movie legend Tan Sri P Ramlee, was rushed to the National University Hospital (NUH) where he was confirmed dead by doctors at 10.56am.
His son Mohamed Arifin Samsudin, 44, said his father had turned pale and he tried to resicitate him before being rushed to NUH.
Prior to that, Arifin said he was resting at home while his mother Puteh Ismoon, 77, was with his late father when the latter started to turn pale.
"The paramedics then arrived about 10 minutes later before he was rushed to the hospital," he said.

Shamsuddin, whose real name was Sahamsudin Dali, was born on Jan 1, 1929 in Pasir Panjang, Singapore.
He was known as a Malay movie comedian acting together with P Ramlee, AR Tompel and Datuk Aziz Satar, and was famous for the film series Bujang Lapok and Nujum Pak Belalang.
He had acted in more than 25 films, including the classic Tiga Abdul.Ben Tan
