Wan Azleela Wan Abdullah (front) and relatives looking for the body of her daughter, Nursyaza Sakina Syed Ahmad, 2, in a river at the Ulu Bendul recreational park near Kuala Pilah yesterday. Nursyaza Sakina and her two sisters drowned on Tuesday at a waterfall there.

Wan Azleela Wan Abdullah spent Mothers Day looking for the last body of her three young daughters who had drowned.

Wan Azleela, 32, yesterday joined the search for Nursyaza Sakina Syed Ahmad, 2, steeling herself for what she might find.

"I don't care about the condition of her body. I just want to see my daughter for the last time.

"She needs to be buried so I can visit her grave."

Having buried Nursyaza Alisa, 5, and Nursyaza Azira, 4, Wan Azleela braved the weather and cold water of the river to search for her youngest daughter.

Alisa and Azira drowned on Tuesday evening when strong currents swept them away while they were in a waterfall at the Ulu Bendul recreational park.

Sakina was believed to have drowned in the same incident but her body has yet to be found.

The girls had been on a picnic with their father, Syed Ahmad Ibrahim, 28, who is divorced from their mother, and his girlfriend, Alwani Abu Hassan, 20s.

Syed Ahmad and Alwani were also swept away by the currents but were saved by others.

Wan Azleela said: "I pray that their souls are in a better place and that I will be strong without them.

"They were precious to me and I want to find her (Sakina's) body to bury it with her sisters."

District police chief Superintendent Jaafar Baba said the authorities had widened the search to 15km from the waterfall.

He said they would search between the waterfall and SK Ulu Bendul.

Kuala Pilah member of parliament Datuk Hasan Malek, who was at the search site with his wife, Datin Norainee Mohd Yatib, said a counsellor from the district Education Department would help the victims' family cope with their loss.
