Eight-member panel starts probe into teen's shooting.15 years old AminulRasyid shot dead by police
The quest for the truth behind the fatal shooting of Aminulrasyid Amzah, 14, has begun with an eight-member panel questioning senior police officials .
The panel will summon investigation papers and witnesses at any point of the police investigations into the April 26 shooting in Shah Alam.
It will also evaluate the Standard Operating Procedure on the discharge of firearms by policemen on duty.
The panel members, who were introduced yesterday, will meet every Friday until they arrive at a conclusion.
The other developments are:
> Head of panel pledges to keep the media updated on its deliberations; and
> Family’s lawyer says the shooting of the teenager will be a “test case” to determine the circumstances under which the police are allowed to open fire.
