Boy, seven, missing for five days after playtime with siblings

A housewife is appealing for help to locate her seven-year-old son who has been missing for five days.
A. Kasturi, 33, who lives in Rifle Range, said her son R. Dass, a pupil of SJK (T) Rajaji in Air Itam, did not return home after playing at a nearby basketball court on Tuesday.
“He went out with three of his older brothers. He would normally come home for dinner at about 6pm or 7pm.
“But on that day, the brothers came back without him and said he was playing with another boy,” the mother-of-six said when met yesterday.
She thought Dass had gone to play elsewhere but when he failed to come back at about 11pm, she became worried and went looking for him.
“I showed his photograph to some residents who said they saw him playing at the basketball court but they did not know where he went after that.
“He was wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of white shorts. I dread to think what could have happened to him. I can only pray for his safe return,” she sobbed.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng urged the public to approach the nearest police station if they have information about the boy.
