Anwar Sex tape and scandal - ‘Porn star’ more sinful than ‘Datuk T’, says Perkasa

Arman said the trio may be redeemed for having exposed the greater sin.

Perkasa defended today the trio known as “Datuk T” for screening a video allegedly showing a senior opposition politician having sex with a Chinese prostitute, saying the move was to expose a more sinful act.

“They are trying to expose the truth. The man in the video has committed a bigger sin. It is immoral. He is a porn star,” said Perkasa Youth chief Arman Azha Abu Hanifah of the threesome that includes Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim.

He told reporters that Shuib, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik and businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay should not be condemned before establishing how the video was obtained and recorded.

“Which is more sinful, the murderer or the one that accuses of murder?” he added at a press conference with Perkasa secretary-general Syed Hassan Syed Ali.

Former Malacca chief minister Abdul Rahim had admitted yesterday that Shazryl, Shuib and himself were collectively the mysterious “Datuk T” behind the 21-minute sex video that was screened on Monday.

He told reporters at a joint press conference together with Shazryl that they wanted to show that “a person who wants to be national leader and PM, was not qualified.”

Syed Hassan also said it should first be investigated if Shuib had done something wrong or had been trying to reveal the truth.

“What if what he did was a good thing?” he said, adding that Shuib had told him that he had acted as an individual and not as a member of the Malay rights group.

Yesterday, Abdul Rahim also claimed that PKR Sungai Petani MP Datuk Johari Abdul had demanded money to defect after the latter was shown the video on Monday afternoon.

Johari had suggested earlier today that businessman Shazryl was the mysterious “Datuk T”, and that Abdul Rahim was among those behind the screening of a sex video.

He also accused the two men of attempting to entice him and other PKR MPs to defect after he had viewed the recording, which he said was of a person who only vaguely resembled Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

According to Johari, Abdul Rahim had also promised to bring him to see Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak after he had viewed the sex video.

Anwar has already accused Najib of being directly involved with the screening of the sex video.

Today, Syed Hassan also repeated Perkasa’s call for a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) to be established to investigate the matter.

Arman said that even top opposition leaders should be allowed to observe proceedings to ensure that the commission would be impartial.

“But if the man in the video is a top Malay leader as has been said, then he must leave politics altogether as it would be an insult to Islam and the Malay race,” he added.
