Rembau Umno dares Chegubard to prove Khairy sex tape

Khairy defeated Badrul Hisham for the Rembau seat in 2008.

Rembau Umno Youth has challenged former PKR central leadership council member Badrul Hisham Shaharin to show proof he received a sex video allegedly of Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin before Election 2008.

“We challenge Badrul Hisham Shaharin to prove that his claim in The Malaysian Insider is true... This statement is rude and defamatory,” Rembau Umno Youth assistant secretary Safariladira Abdullah said.

He pointed out that Badrul Hisham had once screened a video that had absolutely nothing to do with Khairy.

Safariladira also lodged a report against Badrul Hisham at Chembong police station in Rembau yesterday evening to “clear the name of Khairy Jamaluddin... as well as preserve the good name of Umno itself”.

Badrul Hisham, better known as Chegubard, revealed in a statement yesterday that his campaign team had been given the alleged Khairy sex video during the last general election by a man said to be an Umno member.

However, the candidate for the Rembau parliamentary seat said that when he found out what it was, he ordered that all copies be burned as he did not believe in dirty politics.

Badrul Hisham eventually lost to the Umno Youth chief in the March 2008 polls.

Today, Safariladira also slammed Badrul Hisham for alleging that he had been approach recently by someone who claimed he had a sex video of a top Malaysian politician’s wife.

“This is disgusting slander to distract the people after (PKR president Datuk Seri Dr) Wan Azizah (Wan Ismail) failed to supply the Omega watch to clear her husband’s name in one of the country’s biggest sex scandals,” Safariladira said, referring to a recently released sex video allegedly featuring Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He added that Badrul Hisham should prove he had the video in question instead of spreading “malicious lies”.

Two weeks ago, a mysterious “Datuk T” had screened a video purportedly showing Anwar having sex with an unidentified woman.

Former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim then claimed responsibility for the video, saying they screened the video to show “a man who wants to be prime minister is not qualified.”

A 107-second snippet surfaced on the Internet on Sunday, just two days after police said the video was not doctored.

It made public part of the video that was only screened to select individuals and reporters prior to this but the clip has since been taken down from video site YouTube for violating the video site’s policy on nudity and sexual content.

PKR has claimed that the clip proved the man in the video was not their de facto leader and repeated their demand that the trio be arrested for pornography.

Anwar has denied he is the man in the video and accused Umno of a politically-motivated “scurrilous attack” on him.
