Police cordon off road to Selangor MACC office

Some 50 policemen Friday condoned off the road in front of the Selangor Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters at Wisma PKPS, Shah Alam, in anticipation of a protest over the death of Selangor Customs assistant director Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed.

Klang MP Charles Santiago arrived at 10.10am to hand over a memorandum to MACC. He is still in a meeting with MACC officers at 10.40am.

Ahmad Sarbani, 56, was found dead on the first floor badminton court of the MACC building in Jalan Cochrane in Kuala Lumpur, on Wednesday.

He had been released on bail two days earlier after being detained to help in the commission's probe into a money laundering and tax evasion ring worth billions.
