Anwar Ibrahim alleged Sex clip seen on YouTube

The sex video clip uploaded to YouTube purportedly showing an opposition leader with a prostitute in a hotel room.

A video clip, believed to be part of the controversial "Datuk T" sex video, has been uploaded to YouTube.

The clip, running for one minute and 47 seconds, showed the start of the more than 20-minute video originally shown to the media in Carcosa Seri Negara.

The black-and-white video has no audio, and shows three people in what appears to be a hotel room. Two are male, and one female.

There is also a line of words believed to be in Thai.

The New Straits Times was first alerted to it yesterday afternoon by a posting made on Facebook which provided the link to YouTube.

The video, titled "VTS 1 01", was uploaded yesterday afternoon by a user called "thepowercam".

Details of "thepowercam" on YouTube showed the person to be a 55-year-old who had joined the video sharing site on Sunday.

He was purportedly from Thailand and it was the individual's only contribution thus far.

It was the only video uploaded by the user and had been viewed more than 300 times.

There were 200 heated comments posted by viewers, with some dismissing the video and others defending its authenticity.

However, the video was removed by YouTube because of violation of its policy.

The sex video was screened to selected journalists and editors on March 21, triggering a denial from Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that he was the man in the video footage.

He and his wife, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ibrahim, were told to quit politics in a statement released by "Datuk T".

"Datuk T" later revealed themselves as a trio of businessman, Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim and former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik.

Federal police secretary Datuk Ghazali Md Amin said they had not received any reports pertaining to the uploading of the said sex video clip to YouTube.

"We will investigate the matter once a police report is lodged.

"Otherwise, we will focus on wrapping up our investigations into the sex video clip and submit the papers to the Attorney-General's Chambers," he said.

It is understood that police are in the final stages of their probe into the sex video clip and the papers would be submitted to the attorney-general soon. The police started investigations after Anwar lodged a police report on March 22.

Bernama reports that police will issue a statement today on the posting of the video clip on the Internet.
