Regardless of winning or losing the election, Pakatan Rakyat will adhere to the principle of democracy and accept the result openly and calmly, while hoping that the BN will face the result with the same attitude to lead Malaysia towards the true process of democratisation, DAP parliamentary leader Lim Kit Siang said.
During an interview with Sin Chew Daily, Lim said that Pakatan Rakyat is well prepared to accept the election result.
Lim said that Pakatan Rakyat adheres to implement changes in a democratic and peaceful way, rather than full of riots like the Arab Spring.
Lim, who is also Pakatan Rakyat candidates for the Gelang Patah parliamentary seat, took the DAP as an example. The party has experienced ups and downs since it was established in 1966. He had been defeated in previous elections and although he thought that the election was dirty and unfair, he still faced the election result, even with discontentment.
