Public queuing outside the counter to pay traffic summonses at the Jalan Bandar Traffic Police Station here today. Tomorrow is the last day for traffic offenders to pay their summonses at the discount rate by 50 percent. A total of 17.3 million traffic summons failed to be explained by motorists across the country will be blacklisted.

Seven Indonesian pirates were arrested shortly after they robbed the crew members of a tanker, MT Front Queen, 2.8 nautical miles off Pulau Mungging, Pengerang, near Kota Tinggi early today. A Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) boat named Kilat, which was patrolling the area, raced to the ship after it sounded its horn at 3.15am, said MMEA Southern Region chief Maritime First Admiral Zulkifili Abu Bakar.
