Prison stint not bad: Alvin Tan
Sex bloggers Alvin Tan Jye Yee and Vivian Lee May Ling leaving the court complex after signing their release papers at the Jalan Duta court complex, Kuala Lumpur.
Sex blogger Alvin Tan, who along with his girlfriend Vivian Lee have been released on bail described his eight-day prison stint as 'not bad'.
Still clad in the red T-shirt and jeans as when he was taken to the Sg Buloh prison on July 18, Tan, 25, who was hounded by the Press at the Jalan Duta court complex where he and Lee, 24, signed their release papers, smilingly told them this, today.
The couple’s counsel Chong Joo Tian during the submissions on the prosecution’s preliminary objection to Tan and Lee’s revision application, had told the court that his clients were put in isolation detention and this was a form of punishment.
Lee whose bail was also posted by Tan’s mother however, did not respond to members of the media and chose to keep her head down and hide her face behind her hair. She served eight days at the Kajang prison.

Four charged with kidnap in “Saya hina Islam” case
The four people who were charged with kidnapping Ng Mun Tatt being led out of court.
Four men who allegedly abducted and assaulted a youth before writing the words “Saya hina agama Islam” on his chest were charged with kidnapping at the Shah Alam magistrate's court today.
The four - Mohamad Asri Mohamad Jamil, 22, Mohd Mazli Sazeli, 26, Zulkarnain Abdul Rahman, 29 and Agus Hariyanto Mahmod Hosen, 27, - were charged with commiting the offence at Restoran Muneer in Section 25, Shah Alam at 4.30am on on July 15.
They were charged with two others still at large, with abducting Ng Mun Tatt, 21, for the purpose of obtaining a RM3,000 ransom.
No plea was recorded.

A-G throws the book at Alvivi couple for Facebook post, sex video clip
Malaysian's infamous sex blogger couple were charged today under three laws for their controversial Ramadan greeting posted on Facebook and for uploading sex video clips on the web last year.
The couple, Alvin Tan Jye Yee, 25, and Vivian Lee May Ling, 24, both known collectively as Alvivi, claimed trial to three charges at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court this afternoon.
They were charged under the Sedition Act, the Film Censorship Act, and the Penal Code.
The duo were alleged to have published a seditious publication on Facebook title 'Alvin and Vivian-Alvivi' at https://www.facebook.com/alvivi.swingers with a photograph titled "Selamat Berbuka Puasa dengan Bak Kut teh.. Wangi, enak, menyelerakan!!!" with the Halal logo beside it.
The Facebook administrator has since shut down their page.

KL cops begin probe on sex bloggers
City police have opened up their investigation on sex bloggers Alvin Tan and Vivian Lee.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said that the two bloggers, who stirred up another controversy with a buka puasa greeting with a picture of them eating bak kut teh on their Facebook page, were being investigated under Section 298 of the Penal Code as well as the Sedition Act.
SAC Ku said attempts to contact the bloggers were unsuccessful, as both were not answering the phones when contacted.
"Both of them have yet to appear for the investigation. But I was informed they have contacted the Investigating Officer in Negri Sembilan.

Police advise couple to surrender themselves
KUALA LUMPUR: THE controversial sex blogger and his Singaporean girlfriend who had incurred the wrath of Malaysians over their Facebook posting could also be investigated under the Sedition Act 1948.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail said Alvin Tan Jye Yee and his Singaporean girlfriend, Vivian Lee, could be charged with sedition or other offences.
"The couple could face action under the Sedition Act 1948.
"However, we need to look into the facts of the case and the intention of the couple when they committed the offence," he said after he opened a three-day seminar on cyber crime enforcement and legislation at Bandar Baru Bangi near here yesterday.
The couple had posted a picture of them eating bak kut teh with the caption "Selamat berbuka puasa" on Facebook.

Sex scandal couple Alvin and Vivian in hot soup again for insensitive posting
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Joseph Kurup condemned the action of sex bloggers Alvin Tan Jye Yee and Vivian Lee for allegedly posting a 'Selamat Berbuka Puasa' greeting with a picture of themselves eating bak kut teh (pork)on Facebook.
Joseph the duo were incredibly insensitive to the feelings of Muslims and what they did could create unnecessary problems to the people of various races in the country.
The duo had described the dish as 'wangi, enak, menyelerakan' (fragrant, delicious, appetising), and also included a 'Halal' logo and a 'Selamat Berbuka Puasa' greeting.
