MACC deaths 6 questioned so far over customs officer's death

The police have recorded statements from six people so far in the investigation into the death of a senior Customs officer at the Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)headquarters in Jalan Cochrane here.


Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah said today two MACC officers suspended yesterday over the incident were among the six.

Selangor Customs Department assistant director Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed, 56, was found dead on the first floor of the Kuala Lumpur MACC headquarters on Wednesday.

Zulkifli, who spoke to reporters after the monthly assembly at the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters here, said the police had taken the recording of the closed circuit television camera (CCTV) at the Kuala Lumpur MACC headquarters for analysis.

On the autopsy conducted on Ahmad Sarbani, he said the injuries on the body were consistent with those suffered in a fall.
