Papa Gomo, King Jason arrested, police reports lodged against Utusan

Two bloggers were arrested by police for allegedly posting racist remarks on a microblogging website yesterday..

Papa Gomo, 33, and King Jason, 38, were picked at two separate locations, said Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Syed Ismail Syed Azizan in a press conference today.

“Papa Gomo was arrested at a petrol station near Danau Kota while King Jason was picked up in Jalan Kota Raja, Klang.

“We will continue monitoring social media and will not rest until those who circulate racial postings online are detained.

“Anyone who tries to instil hate and compromise with the public’s safety will be brought to justice,” he said.

Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar in a separate PC said two police reports have been lodged against Utusan Malaysia for allegedly publishing inflamatory reports.

Controversial blogger Papa Gomo will be taking on Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat in the general election, said his representative Mohamad Rafi Awang Kechik.

Mohamad Rafi, who is also Nadi Rakyat Malaysia president, said Papa Gomo whose real name is said to be Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris would contest as an independent.

Papa Gomo, who gained notoriety after releasing alleged sex videos involving politicians, plans to expose more purported wrongdoings, especially of Anwar.
