To her friends, Rozanah Mohd Yusak was a free spirit, a cheerful personality who made friends easily and was well-liked by everyone.

So what could have driven a man to brutally knife her 20 times and leave her to die at her home?

This is the question on the minds of her friends and family, who are in a state of disbelief over her killing.

“This is shocking, I can’t believe she is no more with us. How could anyone be so brutal?” asked her father, Yusak Suparman, at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital yesterday.

Rozanah, 35, was found dead by a passer-by who saw her waving for help from the window of her rented shophouse in Desa Kepong here at 2am yesterday.

By the time the passer-by reached the shop, Rozanah had already died from her injuries.

Checks revealed she was stabbed 15 times on her back, three times on her left elbow and twice on her rib cage.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak joined the Winter Solstice celebration today at an old folks home in Kampung Baru Jalan Sungai Way.

Appearing in his light blue shirt and purple tie, Najib spent half an hour with residents, tasting the Chinese dessert Tang Yuan or Kueh Eeh, Bernama Online reported.

The Chinese observe the annual event on December 22, reminding the community the passing of a year.Tradition states consuming tang yuan makes a person a year older.The prime minister donated RM100,000 to the home housing 62 persons.

The prime minister's political secretary Wong Nai Chee (picture) said the visit underscored Najib’s interest in Chinese culture.The home was officiated on February 26, 1966 by then deputy prime minister Tun Abdul Razak, Najib’s father.
