Cosplay killing 15 years old girl die in attempt being raped : Too late for regrets, says suspect

Cosplay killer says too late for regrets.

"Why did you do this?" asked reporters as the suspected killer of 15-year-old Ng Yuk Tim was hauled into the Petaling Jaya Magistrate's Court on Wednesday morning.

"I don't know...," he replied nonchalantly in a daze.

When asked if he regretted his crime, the 23-year-old said, "It's too late for me to regret."

The man is being remanded by police until October 29 to assist in investigations into the murder of Yuk Tim who was found dead and stuffed in a suitcase on Monday.

Petaling Jaya OCPD ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed confirmed this, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

It was reported that Yuk Tim left her home at 11am on Monday and went to the suspect's home in Kampung Cempaka in Kelana Jaya to work on cosplay costumes for an upcoming event.

He confessed that he tried to rape the girl before striking her with a dumbbell, killing her on the spot.

The man initially claimed that he had dropped her off at the Kelana Jaya LRT station at about 3.30pm.

He was then handed over to the Petaling Jaya police.

The suspect later led police to a body, believed to be that of Yuk Tim, which was stuffed in a suitcase near Kota Kemuning in Shah ALa at around 8.30pm on Tuesday.
