Landslide at Jalan Mahameru



DBKL personnel cleaning up the landslide area in Jalan Mahameru, Kuala Lumpur this morning.

A landslide on Jalan Mahameru-Jalan Tun Razak stretch occured at around 3am today folowing heavy rain last night.

The cleaning up of landslide area in Jalan Mahameru has started as early as 7:30am and is expected to end before 3pm, says City Hall (DBKL) official Amran Abdullah.
The road has been temporarily closed as to continue the remedial works and for the people’s security.

DBKL’s Civil Engineering and Drainage Department deputy director Amran added, there were no casualties or injuries reported at the area.

“The landslide involved falling of big trees onto the road. This causes lengthy cleaning works,” he said.
