IGP 'retiring, not resigning'

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar will go on mandatory retirement on May 17 and was not resigning because of pressure from political parties as claimed by certain groups.

His contract of service was renewed for another two years with the consent of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
