EC: Not an offence to sponsor travelling expenses of voters

The Election Commission said that it is not an offence to sponsor the travelling expenses of voters.

Abdul Aziz also said that it is however an offence if the sponsored individual was asked to vote for a specific party or candidate.

Anwar had claimed that these individuals had entered the peninsula on chartered flights allegedly arranged by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
