Four people died while one injured in crash involving three cars and a motorcycle near the exit to Ukay Perdana at the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) heading towards Hulu Klang today.

In the 5.30pm incident, the driver of a Proton Satria who was coming from Bukit Antarabangsa was heading towards KL when he lost control of his vehicle.

It was believed that the vehicle had experienced a brake malfunction while going downhill before ramming into a road divider.

Ampang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Amiruddin Jamaliddin said the car then crashed into a Perodua Viva after it ended up in the opposite direction of the MRR2.

"The crash resulted in another car, a Toyota Swift, to crash into the Perodua Viva after it skidded while trying to avoid the collision.

"A motorcyclist was also injured and sent to the Ampang Hospital to receive treatment after he fell off his motorcycle while trying to avoid from crashing into one of the cars."

Amiruddin added that all four passengers of the Perodua Viva died at the scene.

"It took the Fire and Rescue Department more than an hour to remove the bodies," he said.
