GE13: Journalists wait outside palace for news of polls



Najib's official car arrives at the palace

Cameramen and journalists have been waiting at the gates of Istana Negara since 7am Wednesday in anticipation of an announcement on the dissolution of Parliament to pave the way for the 13th General Election.

Apart from the scores of journalists, tourists were also arriving by the busloads for their usual city tour with the palace part of the programme.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's car complete with police outriders was seen entering the palace at about 8.30am.

Najib has a weekly audience with the King on Wednesdays before the Cabinet meeting.

The prime minister was seen leaving the palace at 9.12am heading for Putrajaya.





nse speculation over whether Najib will make it his last before general election.

The guessing game is fuelled by reports that the Prime Minister has asked his colleagues to dress in dark suits for a photography session, which observers say is customary before the polls.
