TV host makes KL her home after marrying businessman boyfriend

Not wasting any time: Wong and Yew posing for a photograph during their Western-style wedding ceremony in Kuala Lumpu

She came to Malaysia, she loved it and now she is staying.

Angel Wong Chui Ling, who is from Hong Kong and a top Astro Wah Lai Toi television host, married her Malaysian businessman boyfriend Peter Yew in a private wedding ceremony on Saturday.

And Wong can't wait to start a family.

“No, I'm not pregnant yet,” the Hong Kong lass told The Daily Chilli.

“I wished I was. But yes, we do plan to have a baby as soon as possible.”

In fact, it was their baby plans that prompted the couple, who have known each other for 15 years, to finally take the plunge.

“We were discussing marriage last December and he told me he wanted to have three kids,” Wong said.

“So I said we had better get married fast 'cos we're not in our 20s anymore. No time to waste.”

The couple held their romantic Western-style wedding in the city which Wong calls her first home these days.

“I wanted to get married here. So my parents and relatives flew down from Hong Kong for the wedding.”

“It was a small party, attended by 250 people.”

Next on her to-do list is their honeymoon, which Wong described as a daunting task.

“We haven't decided on our honeymoon destination yet. My husband doesn't like to travel. But we have to do it by May. I'll be very busy with my new TV project from June onwards,” she said.
