Three football fans charged in court



Three Terengganu football fans, including a 17-year-old, were charged separately for possession of firecrackers, throwing chilli sauce and cussing the police during the Super League Terengganu versus Kelantan match last night.

Tuan Hasbullah Tuan Abd Razif, 24, from Tanah Lot Kampong Chepoh was charged with uttering harsh words to a police personnel on duty at about 11.30 last night after the match outside the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium.

He was charged under Section 14 of the Misdemeanour Act which carries a fine of not more than RM100 upon conviction.



He pleaded guilty and was fined RM80 or three days' imprisonment upon failure to settle.

A student, Che Mohammad Aiman Che Azmi, 19 from Kampung Banggol Pauh, Seberang Takir was charged under Section 8 of the Explosives Act 1957 and sentenced to RM1,000 fine and one day imprisonment when he pleaded guilty.

The juvenile pleaded guilty to throwing chilli sauce on a police personnel during the game under Section 186 of the Penal Code which carries a sentence of up to three months imprisonment, or RM1,000 fine or both upon conviction.

Magistrate Noor Adila set June 16 for sentencing while awaiting a character reference from the Social Welfare Department. All three cases were prosecuted by Prosecuting Officer Insp V. Ravi.

In the Super League match between Terengganu and Kelantan, the fomer lost 0-3 to the visitors.
